GEORGIA RADIO — The Golden Isles Airshow is touching down in Brunswick this weekend, bringing with it a sky full of thunder and excitement—and a healthy dose of hometown pride. Georgia’s own Matt Jolley, an award winning announcer who’s announced airshows all over the world, will be behind the mic for this year’s event.
“I’ve been blessed to announce shows from coast to coast and even overseas,” Jolley said. “Next weekend, I’ll be up at Jones Beach just outside New York City—but getting to do a show this close to home? That’s something truly special. These are my people, and I can’t wait to share this with them!"
The weekend kicks off Friday night with a free concert at Mary Ross Waterfront Park, followed by a fireworks show that’s sure to light up the Brunswick sky. Then it’s full throttle Saturday and Sunday with back-to-back aerial performances featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team, and some of the top civilian performers in the country.
Whether you're a lifelong aviation buff or just looking for a fun family outing, there's something for everyone at this year’s airshow.
And for those tuning in from home—or just wanting more—Matt Jolley will be sharing behind-the-scenes stories and interviews with some of the performers on Classic Country & Request, airing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. ET.
Come for the thrills, stay for the hometown charm—Brunswick’s ready to fly!
